The 2011 Summer of S.A.M.E continues with a new video petition that is all about making a stand for human rights by calling on the country’s provincial and federal governments to “Stop Migrant Exploitation Now!”
Organized by the Students Against Migrant Exploitation, or The S.A.M.E., the new video petition offers a new approach to mobilizing young activists. The S.A.M.E. petition invites activists, community members, and youth alike to upload videos of themselves explaining why migrant exploitation should be stopped immediately and to join a rapidly growing number of people by saying “Stop Migrant Exploitation Now!”
The videos are being compiled into what The S.A.M.E. is hoping will become one of Canada's largest video petitions ever.

L’organisation étudiante contre l’exploitation des migrants (Students Against Migrant Exploitation ou le groupe SAME) poursuit ses activités de l’été 2011 en présentant une pétition en vidéo, dont le but essentiel est de lutter en faveur des droits de la personne. Ainsi, dans cette vidéo, on exhorte les gouvernements provinciaux et le gouvernement fédéral à mettre immédiatement fin à l’exploitation des migrants.
C’est ainsi que le groupe SAME propose une nouvelle méthode afin de mobiliser les jeunes militantes et militants. Sa pétition doit donc servir à inciter les militantes et militants, les gens de la société en général ainsi que les jeunes à télécharger à leur tour vers l’amont (mettre dans l’Internet) des vidéos dans lesquelles ils expliqueront eux-mêmes les raisons pour lesquelles il faut immédiatement mettre fin à l’exploitation des migrants et à se joindre à un groupe de gens dont le nombre s’accroît rapidement et qui demandent qu’on mette immédiatement fin à l’exploitation des migrants.
Le groupe SAME compile les vidéos en question en espérant en faire l’une des plus grandes pétitions en vidéo qu’on ait jamais présentées au Canada.
