- Resumen
The B.C. government backtracked yesterday and promised to step up random spot checks of vehicles that carry berry and vegetable pickers to the fields, after three female farm workers died in a crash.
The van involved was carrying 17 people while licensed for 15. Questions remain about whether the van's seating had been altered, and whether passengers were wearing seatbelts.
