AWA Bradford celebrates their season opener with workers, church groups and other community members
On June 21, the AWA Bradford centre celebrated its season opener with some very special guests: the migrant farm workers. Other community members and church groups were also in attendance. The event marked the fifth anniversary of the centre’s opening. Workers had the opportunity to socialize and share their experiences with many community members still trying to understand their plight.
The event was well attended and many participants did not leave empty handed after the staff held raffle draws and distributed gifts to workers.
