The motivation and awareness tour aims to empower students to become active in social issues, and to engage and inform youth about migrant agriculture workers in Canada. Founded in 2010, student-led S.A.M.E. chapters have been established at a number of college and university campuses, including York University, the University of Guelph, Brock University, Carleton University, and Wilfred Laurier University.

For its third annual tour, the S.A.M.E. team will travel to over 15 cities, 40 locations, and conduct over 70 presentations. Joining S.A.M.E along the way are several arts educators and chapter presidents including Steven Salguero, president of the Jane-Finch community S.A.M.E chapter. "Students can be a very positive force in their school and in their communities," says the Jane-Finch S.A.M.E president. "The tour engages the idealism and energy of students in their support of human rights and equality for everyone."

"S.A.M.E is hoping to surpass last year's tremendous outreach", says Nathy Vengal, the president of the S.A.M.E. chapter at York University. "Last year, we got to meet and reach out to more than 10,000 students of all ages, and inspired many into taking action. The enthusiasm and interest has been great, and we're excited about building on that momentum."

Infusing the tour with arts and culture, the S.A.M.E. tour will be accompanied by an ensemble of renowned arts educators, including Ruben "Beny" Esguerra (www.newtraditionmusic.com), internationally acclaimed actress and visual artist Gilda Monreal (www.gildamonreal.blogspot.ca), artist and educator The Real Sun (https://therealsun.wordpress.com/), and performer and songwriter Maccie Paquette (www.macciepaquette.com/).
