Liberating Temporariness? explores the institutionalization of temporariness as a condition of life for a growing number of people worldwide -- it considers growing complexities surrounding the legal status of migrants and refugees, deepening precariousness in employment, and mounting limitations on social rights. The contributors chart the Canadian experience as contrasted with developments in Europe, Australia, and the United States, and offer alternative possibilities for security and liberation.
