Eloy Rivas is a PhD candidate in Sociology and Political Economy at Carleton University. He also participates with Mexican and Canadian organizations that are engaged in the struggles against privatization and commodification of the commons, such as Red de Solidaridad Zapatista-Canada, and Mexican Migrant Workers against Deportations (MUR).
