WHO WE ARE
We are a group of English and Spanish speaking parishioners from St. Elizabeth Seton, St. John Chrysostom and Holy Martyrs of Japan Parishes whose mission is to provide both spiritual and social support to the Mexican migrant farm workers who come to the Holland Marsh area each year. We visit farms in Bradford, East Gwillimbury, and King Township, hold social events, help people find support for practical needs, and assist with a weekly Spanish language liturgy at 5 p.m. on Sundays at Holy Martyrs of Japan Church. (During the winter season, from November to March, the mass is celebrated monthly on the second Sunday of the month)
WE NEED HELP!
With your involvement, we can do a better job of including our Mexican brothers and sisters in our parish and community. For some roles, it is necessary to speak Spanish, but many roles are open to anyone. We will provide orientation and training for those who wish to part of El Sembrador.
