- Abstract
The UN Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their families 1990 entered into force in June 2005. The Convention represents the most comprehensive Instrument available to date defining the social, economic and cultural rights of migrant workers and their family members.
Bangladesh is signatory, but is yet to ratify, the Convention. This policy Brief is part of a prolonged and sustained campaign of RMMRU sine 1999 for ratification of the Convention. It is prepared to mark the International Migrant Workers day on 18 December 2007 and to reiterate civil society demands to the Government of Bangladesh to respect the rights of migrant workers by ratifying the Convention- Number of pages
