- Abstract
Employers of the live in care giver desire damages ($9700) for cost of obtaining a temporary work permit and for inconveniences. Migrant worker had expended her own personal money to obtain the appropriate documentation, after which point, employer (Benchetrit) sent a modificaiton to the contract stating that migrant worker would be indebted to them for a sum of $4000. She felt as though she had expended too much money and was too far along the process, and so she signed the modification. When she arrived, was placed in a room with a baby- employer sugegsted she rent a room elsewhere which she eventually did. She then resigned.
