- Description
 Ping-Chun Hsiung is an Associate professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto at Scarborough. Her research areas are: family and social change in Chinese societies, feminist epistemology and methodology, gender issues in comparative perspectives, and the women’s movement and community organizing in China. Professor Hsiung studies grassroots organizing in Taiwan and China, and stratification and social change in Chinese societies. Her current SSHRC-funded research project is entitled Non-Governmental Organizations and Democracy in Taiwan.
